What’s with the name, ‘Greenhouse’?

In gardening, a greenhouse is a place to plant seeds, nurture them, and help them grow. At The Greenhouse, that’s what we do–we want to see people enjoy a fulfilled and thriving life.

Where do the finances come from?

The Greenhouse does everything for free or sometimes at-cost, and is a registered 501.c3 “not-for-profit” organization. We rely on donations from our volunteer staff and other friends of The Greenhouse in Montara and beyond.

Is there a religious connection?

The Greenhouse is run by a group of non-denominational Christians, who love Montara and work to make it a better place. We’re sensitive to the fact that some folks are justifiably guarded about “religious boobytrapping,” so since day one, we’ve always been upfront in our advertising about which events have a spiritual side. Everyone is always welcome at any event.

How can I make a donation?

Donations to The Greenhouse are all tax deductible. To make a donation, you can either hand us or mail us a check. Thank you for your support!

How can I volunteer to help?

We often have opportunities for adults and teens to volunteer their time to put on charitable community projects! Please give us a call and let us know if you’d like to participate.
